Kenya in a nutshell

The Republic of Kenya in eastern Africa rises from the coastal plain of the Indian Ocean to mountain ridges in the center of the country, covered by an arid plain in the north and reaches Lake Victoria in the west. Like its landscape, Kenya is a country of many contrasts, facing enormous social, health, economical and security challenges. However Kenya is a driving force for east Africa’s economical development and regional stability. CARE-Austria, together with partner organizations, supports the Kenyan people with various projects like the Nawiri- and the Kisumu-Project.
